Fire Safety Training Courses
Who are Our Online Fire Training Courses Intended For?
It’s a legal requirement for staff to be provided with fire training for safety and our online courses are a convenient and effective way of delivering this. Candidates will be able to identify and reduce the risk that fire presents in the workplace, and know how to react so that in the event of a real emergency lives will saved and property protected.
There are two fire training course types, and both are available as well in a special edition for the care sector. The Basic fire training courses cover everything that employers need to provide their staff with for a workplace setting, and the fire training for Fire Marshal courses additionally provide specific instruction for Marshals in their essential life-saving role in business organisations or care home settings.
Why are Our Fire Training Courses Essential?
Current legislation – The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, or the Fire Scotland Act 2005, applies to all workplaces regardless of the number of employees and requires employers to provide adequate training in fire safety awareness for all members of their staff.
The Fire Marshal course provides extensive knowledge of fire prevention, evacuation protocol and use of fire extinguishers, including all the content of our basic Fire Training course, with the addition of specialist evacuation training for their role. Both courses are also available in versions for care home settings.
What is a Fire Marshal?
Fire marshals (sometimes known as fire wardens) are civilians trained to assist in emergency fire evacuation procedures at businesses and other organizations. It is a legal obligation that workplaces have a sufficient number of fire marshals to deal with fire emergencies.
